For those missing summer and all it’s endless mix of optimism and exuberance, might I suggest this little ditty? I’ve been obsessed with this song and video by UK band The Other Tribe since it was released this summer, and thought you, my fellow Earthlings, would quite enjoy it. On first listen you have may a love/hate relationship with it, and I did as well. But it’s quite a roaring song, and that chorus “Hit me up in the summertime / when the length of your skirts is just right” sure hits the spot. There’s such a mysterious and familiar innocence to the whole thing right through to the gorgeous final shot. Killer stuff, and I ask you in this election season, after watching and listening, are you better off than you were 4 minutes ago? VOLUME UP.
