The cinematic elite of 2014.

Here you go you lucky and loyal readers, my top films of the year. As always, there is no minimum or maximum – if you’re the best, you’re the best. This year the total bumped up again, to a whopping 18 films. Because of the increase I divided up at least a bit so that the cream of the crop are recognized. They were films I thought were magnificent enough – even compared to years past – that they deserved a special recognition. Not as glamorous as the Oscars of course, but nearly. I again graded all the films I saw this year and those in the ‘A’ and ‘B+’ range receive this highly coveted recognition.
