My most recent musical fascination is a Canadian gentleman going by the moniker of Waterfront Dining. He refers to himself as a "vintage chop artist", and it couldn't be a more fitting description of what he does. Over the course of 40+ releases in just a few years, Waterfront Dining has found a way of reimagining and reworking found sounds of the 1980s (both familiar, and lost in the dust bins) into something new and fresh, while still being rooted firmly in its source material.
Influenced by how strong his creations are (how are these songs not on the radio?!), and how anonymous he has chosen to be via his online presence, I just had to interview him. Or maybe it's more "musical investigative reporting", or something. But he agreed, and now we can unveil is the fruits of our labor.
