COLLAPSING SCENERY x KANSAS BOWLING
So inspired by the essay REVOLT AGAINST PENIS ENVY by Boyd Rice, an official of the original Church of Satan and multi-faceted artist in music, photography and oh so much more, up-and-coming pop art/avant garde director Kansas Bowling had no choice but to include Rice in her video for the track THE RESORT BEYOND THE LAST RESORT from LA-based band COLLAPSING SCENERY, premiered by Galore Magazine just days before Halloween of 2018.
Ms. Bowling, born and raised throughout L.A. from Koreatown to Topanga Canyon, told Galore she felt "feminist satire of anti-feminist satire would be an interesting concept" for the video, and the result feels to have achieved this, quite swimmingly.
Penises and other body parts take center stage in this WORLD PREMIERE of the Uniform Remix video for THE RESORT BEYOND THE LAST RESORT, from the 2018 EP of the same name - AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE. This unique video is certainly not for the faint of heart, and an acquired taste for some, so buckle up nice and tight, and enter the resort if you so dare. As Kansas said herself: "the only thing more terrifying than the first minute and a half of the video... is the second minute and a half!!!"
Kudos galore to Kansas for being so kind and PATIENT with getting this premiere together. She is busy directing, and moonlighting this past summer as a Manson girl in the new Quentin Tarantino film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, while listening to my excuses of a "busy life" - so thank you, dear Kansas, for your generosity.
